About Convert image
A form accepts JPG but not PNG. A design needs transparency that JPG cannot store. A page loads slowly because its images are twice the size they need to be. Converting between JPG, PNG and WebP takes one step and leaves the dimensions alone.

Questions
- How do I convert PNG to JPG?
- Add the PNG files, choose JPG, and convert. Any transparent area is filled with white, because JPG has no transparency — that is a property of the format, not a limitation of this tool.
- When should I use WebP?
- For images on a website: roughly 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same visible quality, and it supports transparency, which JPG does not. Every current browser displays it. Avoid it for files you have to submit to an official system, which often accepts only JPG or PDF.
- Does converting JPG to PNG improve the quality?
- No. Detail lost when the JPG was first saved is gone for good; PNG simply stores the same picture without losing anything further, in a much larger file. Convert to PNG when you need transparency or lossless editing, not to repair an image.
- Are the dimensions changed?
- No — only the format. Use Resize image to change pixel dimensions, or Compress image to hit a file size.
- Is EXIF data such as location kept?
- No. Re-encoding drops the metadata, so camera details and GPS coordinates do not travel with the converted file. For sharing photographs publicly, that is usually what you want.
