About PDF to images
A page from a PDF sometimes has to become a picture — to drop into a slide deck, attach to a chat message, or upload where only images are accepted. Every page is rendered at the resolution you choose and comes back as a JPG or PNG, with a single .zip if there are several.

Questions
- What resolution should I choose?
- 150 DPI matches an ordinary scan and is right for most uses. Use 300 DPI if the image will be printed or you need to read fine print. Use 72–96 DPI for something going into a web page or chat, where the file size matters more than the detail.
- Should I export as JPG or PNG?
- JPG for anything with photographs, and for smaller files. PNG for pages that are mostly text, tables or line drawings — it is lossless, so text edges stay crisp, at the cost of a considerably larger file.
- Can I export just one page?
- Yes. Choose “Only the pages I name” and write the numbers or a range, such as 1, 3-5.
- Why does a big PDF fail at high resolution?
- Each page is rendered into a bitmap in your device’s memory, and the memory needed grows with the square of the resolution. A 300-DPI A4 page is around 8.7 million pixels. Lower the resolution or export fewer pages at a time.
- Is converting a PDF to images free?
- Yes, completely, with no account, no watermark on the output, no daily limit and no paid tier. Because your device does the work, running this costs us nothing but hosting a few static files.
