About Rotate PDF
Phone scans and office multifunction printers routinely produce pages lying on their side. Rotating them here writes the new orientation into the file itself, so it stays fixed for everyone who opens it — unlike the temporary rotate button in a PDF reader.
How it works
- 1Pick a PDF.
- 2Choose how far to turn it — 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° anticlockwise — and whether that applies to every page or only the ones you name.
- 3Press Rotate PDF and download the corrected document.
Questions
- Why did rotating in my PDF reader not stick?
- Most readers rotate the view only, and forget it when the file is closed. This tool changes the page’s own rotation property and saves it, so the orientation travels with the file.
- Only some pages are sideways. Can I fix just those?
- Yes. Choose “Only the pages I name” and list them, such as 2, 5-7. Rotation is added to whatever each page already has, so a page already turned 90° becomes 180° rather than resetting.
- Does rotating re-encode the page and lose quality?
- No. Nothing is re-drawn or re-compressed — only a single rotation value per page changes, so the file is byte-for-byte as sharp as before and almost exactly the same size.
- The page is upside down, not sideways.
- Use 180°. If a page is both mirrored and rotated, that is a scanning problem rather than a rotation one and cannot be corrected by turning the page.
- Is rotating a PDF here completely free?
- Yes, completely, with no account, no watermark on the output, no daily limit and no paid tier. Because your device does the work, running this costs us nothing but hosting a few static files.
